Functionality / use
DLL / library for data exchange between PC and SIMATIC S7 under Windows (any)/Linux.

Supported interfaces:
- PC / MPI adapter for S7 300/400 (PC baud rate up to 115 kB, PLC baud rate up to
- PC-PPI adapter for S7 200 (PC / PLC baud rate 9.6 kB or 19.2 kB)
Support for virtually all programming languages.

With simple functions, the user can quickly access the data PLCs in the network using C, C ++, Delphi, Visual Basic or Excel. Only the MPI address of the PLC is required for coupling. Flags, inputs, outputs, data blocks, timers and counters of the PLC can be read or written access immediately.
No program change is necessary in the PLC!

Used to initialize the serial interface. At this point there is still no check whether the PLC is present.
Warning: The MPI connection is only started automatically when the read or write functions are called up.
It is also checked whether the baud rate and local MPI address are identical with a possibly preceding "ES7Open".
To be able to access several PLCs in the same MPI bus, an "ES7Open" must be carried out for each PLC. However, with the corresponding PLC MPI address.
